Board Members
Thomas Gottfreid
is a Partner of Cutting Edge Consulting, Inc., where he is the "Job
Coach" and an Executive Recruiter. Thomas has Coached professionals at
all points of their careers. He understands how candidates feel as they
search and how executives make hiring decisions. Prior to Cutting Edge,
Tom led regional organizations in web-portal development and on-site
professional services. Tom graduated from Purdue University with a BSIM
focused on Industrial Engineering and Computer Science. He earned his
MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and completed the
Executive Management Development Curriculum at Northwestern University's
Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Steve Schapiro
has been a Chicago area fundraiser and community relations executive
for the past 10 years. Prior to that he held key leadership positions in
management, sales, and marketing for the country's largest provider of
health information services to the insurance industry. Schapiro operates
his company, S&S Management Consulting Services, Inc. in north
suburban Vernon Hills. His firm provides expertise in special event
management, community & donor relations, sponsorship sales and fund
development to a wide cross section of organizations and non-profits.
Schapiro also volunteers on committees and boards for a number of
worthwhile causes. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing
from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in
Recreation Administration from Aurora University.
David Cook (Dave)
is a resident of Green Oaks since 2001 and an active member of the
community. In 2005 he cofounded the Green Oaks Business Forum which
blossomed into a Lake County focused networking group now called Green
Oaks Libertyville Trusted Referral Network www.goltrn.com. Dave also founded the Chicago Sales Networking (CSN) group in 2006 and maintains an active role in running that group.
Dave has 3 children attending Oak Grove Elementary and has coached
each in basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer in Libertyville
sports programs. Dave is married to Tracy Cook who has done a great deal
of volunteer work in Libertyville as well working with the Oak Grove
PTO and the Junior Women's Club of Libertyville. Tracy runs accounting
for Muller Trading in Libertyville. Professionally Dave works for
information technology consulting firm Perficient, Inc. Prior to
Perficient, Dave is a US Air Force Veteran and since leaving the
military has held a variety of positions in IT staffing in sales,
delivery, and management.
Sean Weppler was born and raised in
Libertyville. He left town only to complete his education by
earning a Bachelor's of Business Degree from Western Illinois University
and then followed that with a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law
School. Since completing law school, Sean has returned to
Libertyville to practice law with his father, Terry L.
Weppler. Sean specializes in real estate law and family law. Sean
understands how difficult legal problems can be for people that are not
experienced with law. As such, he takes the time to explain how the law
can affect his clients legal issues so that they have a better
understanding of how the law will impact their lives.
Sean understands how important it is to give back to the
community. He is a member of the LMV Exchange Club, whose main
purpose is the prevention of child abuse. In the winter,
Sean contributes most of his free time as a volunteer
wrestling coach at Libertyville High School.
Rick Scardino
of Lee & Associates, LLC has 24 years of experience in commercial
real estate. He is spearheading the Retail Division as Director – Retail
Brokerage. Rick also has a strong background in restaurant projects and
land sales. Before entering Commercial Real Estate he spent 20 years in
family owned restaurants. Rick is a charter member and past president
of the Chicagoland Restaurant Brokers Association (CRBA), an active
member in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He has
also served on various volunteer Boards of Directors.
Rick is a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business Management. He is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Laura Menze
is the owner and a Life/Success Coach at LifeQuest Alliance, Inc.
located in Libertyville, IL; a company that specializes in Helping Good
People Become Great through business and life coaching for individuals
and groups. She holds a BA in Communications, an MBA in International
Business, and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC).
Prior to starting LifeQuest Alliance, Laura's career was in
international marketing where she served as the Global Marketing
Communications Manager at AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings in Waukegan,
IL. At present, Laura is a member of International Coaching
Federation, the Chicago Coaching Federation, Infinity Foundation of
Highland Park, the Libertyville Noon Rotary Club and multiple local and
national networking groups. Laura volunteers her coaching services
at Fresh Start of Illinois. She inspires others to dream big and take
the steps necessary toward living the life of their dreams is her true
passion.
Tim Henthorn
has spent the majority of his career in the Media & Advertising,
Travel and Financial Services industries. He has launched more than 37
products to various audiences based on market needs. He is an innovator
at heart and enjoys a fast-paced team approach. He has an uncanny
ability to navigate the data within the framework of an organization,
combine it with market insights and develop pioneering technology
products and services. He has supplied syndicated transaction data,
industry wide pricing, market research, product placement tracking and
marketing analytics in the context of analyzing the dynamics influencing
media performance.
Tim most recently worked with TIG Global to manage their R&D and
product development capabilities, identifying innovative technologies
capable of generating new levels of online marketing results.
Previously, he was responsible for product leadership of the Market
Intelligence P&L at TravelCLICK, a venture funded organization with
record sales growth.
Tim graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and subsequently earned his MBA from Northwestern University.
